ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA:
The University of Arizona (also referred to as UA, U of A, or Arizona) located in Tucson, Arizona, United States, is the leading public research university in the American Southwest. The University of Arizona offers a wide variety of academic programs, many of which are among the nation's best. Students can choose from more than 150 undergraduate and more than 200 graduate degree programs offered through 18 colleges and 12 schools on three campuses.
ATHLECTICS:
The University of Arizona Department of Intercollegiate Athletics competes in the NCAA's Division I-A in the Pacific-10 Conference, which it joined in 1978. Arizona's athletic teams are nicknamed the Wildcats.
